The exhibition results from the particular collection of objects, books and graphic works by Quique Bassat, director of the program of research on Malaria and ISGlobal and lecturer at the Department of Medicine of the UB. Participants in the opening ceremony are Antoni Plasència, director-general of ISGlobal; Antoni Trilla, dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences of the UB, and Quique Bassat, curator of the exhibition.

Located in the hall of the Faculty, the exhibition shows legends related to malaria, a disease causing 435,000 deaths worldwide every year. Apart from the scientists who contributed to the study of the disease, the exhibition shows the evolution of the treatment for malaria, from the first extracts of Artemisia annua or tree bark to nowadays.

The proposal includes books on the history of malaria, taken from the Clinic Campus CRAI Library archive and the personal collection of the curator. In addition, the graphic work comes from CRAI and the mentioned collection, which is original and also reproduced in the Digitalization Center of the UB CRAI. The exhibition, which can be visited until April 20, 2020, has five tables and one display cabinet.
