The University of Barcelona is among the top 50 universities worldwide in the disciplines of Anatomy and Physiology (14th position at a global scale), Library and Information Management (43), Philosophy (45), and Archaeology (47), according to the new edition of the QS World University Rankings by Subject 2020. Moreover, it stands out as one of the top 100 universities worldwide in Arts and Humanities, Life Sciences and Medicine, and Natural Sciences.

The University of Barcelona is among the top 50 universities worldwide in the disciplines of Anatomy and Physiology (14th position at a global scale), Library and Information Management (43), Philosophy (45), and Archaeology (47), according to the new edition of the QS World University Rankings by Subject 2020. Moreover, it stands out as one of the top 100 universities worldwide in Arts and Humanities, Life Sciences and Medicine, and Natural Sciences.

This international ranking, which was published today, Wednesday, March 4, 2020, assesses the positions of 1,368 institutions worldwide in a total of 48 disciplines corresponding to the fields of knowledge of Arts and Humanities, Social Sciences and Business Management, Life Sciences and Medicine, Natural Sciences and Engineering and Technology.

The UB is listed among the top 100 universities worldwide in 18 out of the 48 disciplines of the QS World University Rankings by Subject 2020. In particular, these disciplines are Archaeology, Modern Languages, Philosophy, Agriculture, Anatomy and Physiology, Biological Sciences, Medicine, Nursing, Pharmacy and Pharmacology, Chemistry, Materials Science, Marine and Earth Sciences, Environmental Sciences, Anthropology, Education, Library and Information Management, Social Policy and Administration, and Sports Sciences. Also, the UB got a score of 38 in 48 of the disciplines of the international ranking.
