(28/05/2020)

A resolution by the rector authorises the reactivation of the in-company placements of bachelor and masterʼs degrees -including their final degree projects- carried out in external institutions which cannot be conducted online.

The reactivation of these internships must be conducted in agreement with the head of the collaborating entity, the person in charge in the UB and the student, and has to fulfil the instructions regarding the different phases of the Transition plan towards normalcy regarding mobility between territories in each autonomous community and between different autonomous communities.

Another condition is that the external entity should be allowed to continue with its activity and fulfil all requirements in the regulation of the labour risk prevention, as well as having a contingency plan to cope with risks derived from the health alert, and to be committed to provide the students with the proper protection materials.

Bear in mind that students with COVID-19-compatible symptoms cannot join the face-to-face training, and the same occurs to those students who live or have been in contact with people with symptoms during the last fourteen days, and those who belong to a COVID-19 vulnerable group.

According to the resolution, the period of the external internships can be extended according to the deadline of the established final assessment date in the General guidelines for the assessment of external internships, approved by the Governing Council.
