A virtual concert for the most loyal audience of the UB Els Vespres dʼEstiu
The fifteenth edition of Els Vespres dʼEstiu had to take place this year at the gardens of the Historical Building of the University of Barcelona. Due to the current situation, it is not possible to hold the celebration of this cycle in its traditional format. Therefore, the concert will be held on July 16, at 7 p.m., and will be available through the Youtube channel of the University. This proposal is brought by a fully consolidated artist, quite known in the music scene of this country, and the name of the artist will be revealed in early July. The concert will take place in Ferran Soldevila Garden, the common space for Els Vespres, and the audience will be able to post questions the musician will answer when the concert ends.

“Els Vespres dʼEstiu fill the capacity of this space every year, with more than 4,000 attendants per Edition, and the University of Barcelona did not want to leave its audience without this unmissable date, known among the music lovers”, note the members of the organization. Therefore, Els Vespres have been adapted to a virtual format by scheduling “an only concert that will exceed the expectations of those who expect the most”, they say.
Els Vespres de la UB, both the summer and winter editions, one in July in the Ferran Soldevila garden at the Historical Building, and the latter in February, in the Paranimph, bring emerging music of the current Catalan scene. Bands such as Mishima (2007), Las Migas (2007 and 2008), Manel (2008), Maria Rodés (2011), La Iaia (2021), Ferran Palau (2014) and Rosalía (2016) have performed in this cycle when they were not known by the general audience.
