On Friday, July 24, the results of the first call of the European Commission SWAF Horizon 2020 dedicated to European universities were published. CHARM-EU was one of the selected alliances to receive this complementary fund from the European program, which aims to consolidate a common research and innovation agenda within the framework of the European universities.

CHARM European University (CHARM-EU), an alliance coordinated by the UB and formed by the Trinity College Dublin, Utrecht University, Eötvös Loránd University, and the University of Montpelier, joined this call submitting the project TORCH (Transforming Open Responsible Research and Innovation through CHARM). This project, also coordinated by the University of Barcelona, has been approved and funded with 2 million euros for the next three years.

With this project, the alliance CHARM-EU aims to line the research and innovation and teaching strategies by promoting a transforming agenda with transdisciplinarity and interculturality as pillars. The TORCH project will contribute to consolidate CHARM-EU as a European university through the improvement of existing academic and research networks with the activities of the alliance.
