A team of researchers led by Professor José Ignacio Latorre, from the Faculty of Physics of the University of Barcelona, and formed by Pol Forn, from the Institute for High Energy Physics (IFAE), and Artur Garcia, from the Barcelona Supercomputing Center (BSC), created Qilimanjaro Quantum Tech SL, a spin-off from these three entities. The founding team is also formed by Víctor Canivell and Jordi Blasco, who bring executive experience in the computing sector and the merger and purchase of undertakings, respectively. This innovative spin-off counts on the support from international leading consultants in the quantum sector. José Ignacio Latorre notes that “Qilimanjaro aims to become, in the long run, one of the companies to develop quantum computers, while it will also offer quantum algorithmic solutions for other companies”.
