Lecturer of Economics Ramon Tremosa, new Minister of Enterprise and Knowledge
Ramon Tremosa, tenured university lecturer at the Faculty of Economics and Business of the University of Barcelona, has been appointed Minister of Enterprise and Knowledge of the Catalan Government, replacing Àngels Chacón. The Department of Enterprise and Knowledge has, among other competencies, those corresponding to universities, quality of the university system, research promotion, innovation and entrepreneurship.
Ramon Tremosa is tenured university lecturer at the Department of Economics and researcher member of the Center for Economic Analysis and Social Policy (CAEPS) of the UB, and has been a member of the European Parliament for ten years. He is the author of twelve books, among which are Catalonia, an emerging economy (2010), Let Catalonia vote (2015), Cinquanta són cinquanta (2015), LʼEuropa que han fet fracassar (2016), and Què fan els bancs centrals! Sobre la injecció massiva de diners i el deute més alt de la història (2019).
