UB lecturers Patrícia Garcia-Duran and Sònia Estradé were awarded, respectively, the Jaume Vicens Vives Prize to teaching quality and the M. Encarna Sanahuja Yll Prize for gender perspective inclusion in teaching practices.

UB lecturers Patrícia Garcia-Duran and Sònia Estradé were awarded, respectively, the Jaume Vicens Vives Prize to teaching quality and the M. Encarna Sanahuja Yll Prize for gender perspective inclusion in teaching practices.

Patrícia Garcia-Duran, lecturer at the Department of Economic History, Institutions, and Policy and World Economy of the Faculty of Economics and Business, received the Jaume Vicens Vives Prize under the individual category, an honor given to the excellence in university teaching. The candidacies are submitted by boards of trustees of the Catalan public universities.

Sònia Estradé, lecturer at the Department of Electronic and Biomedical Engineering of the Faculty of Physics of the University of Barcelona, received the M. Encarna Sanahuja Yll Prize under the individual category. This honor awards the excellence in gender perspective inclusion within teaching practices and responds to the need to face the challenge of introducing effectively gender perspective into the university teaching.

Also, the Board of Trustees of the UB resolved, last July, the awards to teaching quality of the UB, which, under individual categories, were given to the mentioned Patrícia Garcia-Duran and to Javier Martín Vide, professor of Physical Geography. In the category of teaching groups, the UB awards were given to the Teaching Innovation Group on Audiovisual Communication, led by the lecturer Marina Romeo Delgado, and to the project to promote teaching quality, RIMDA, at the Faculty of Economics and Business, coordinated by lecturer Alexandrina Stoyanova.
