The University of Barcelona is holding, on October 15, the CRUE Spanish Universities Internationalization and Cooperation Days, which will be held online this year. The meeting, which should have taken place last March at the Historical Building of the UB and was delayed due to the pandemic, will be finally held this month with a program that covers themes such as the new Erasmus Program 2021-2027.

The sessions will be opened by José Carlos Gómez Villamandos, president of the CRUE, Manuel Castells, minister for Universities and the rector of the UB, Joan Elias, president of CRUE-Internationalization and Cooperation. Although the sessions have a more compact agenda than other times, the program includes three distinguished presentations: one on cooperation, given by José Antonio Alonso, lecturer of Applied Economics at the Complutense University of Madrid, and another on the new Erasmus Program 2021-2027, given by Vanessa Debiais-Sainton, head of Higher Education at the Directorate-General for Education, Youth, Sports and Culture of the European Commission. The other presentation will be given by Coral Martínez Iscar, director of SEPIE, who will talk about the details of the internationalization strategy of Spanish universities.

These sessions will finish at noon after the annual plenary assembly, with the attendance of Francesc Xavier Grau, secretary for Universities and Research of the Catalan Government, and the rector of the UB, Joan Elias.
