The UB extends online teaching during November

Today, the rector has approved a resolution by which the University of Barcelona extends online teaching during the month of November, except for internships and evaluations, as requested by Public Health in order to keep the reduction of face-to-face activities and therefore strengthen protection measures.

Each centre will adopt these measures to the academic and teaching characteristics. The rector appeals to the responsibility to show the commitment of the university community to the Catalan society in this difficult situation derived from the pandemic.

This measure has been agreed on in the framework of the Interuniversity Council of Catalonia, the Catalan Government and the 12 Catalan universities, and it will be adopted for a period of 30 days in order to favour university governance, as well as the stability of teaching activities, according to the resolution published by the Catalan Government SLT/2700/2020, from October 29.The resolution states that measures in matter of public health will be extended and modified in order to contain the COVID-19 epidemic outbreak in Catalonia.
