The first CHARM-EU days, to take place on November 23 and 24, are dedicated to exploring the future of European higher education and its role to treat complex challenges, which are more interrelated every time, presented to society. In particular, the sessions will focus on how the European universities can support the European Green Deal.

Climate change and degradation of the environment are a threat to Europe and the world. Moreover, fighting the COVID-19 pandemic is an unexpected challenge. In order to face these challenges, the European Union has developed a growth strategy: the European Green Deal. Like all EU policies and actions contribute to reach the goals of this deal, the field of higher education -as one of the main elements of training for generations that will guide society-, this has to play a key role in the achievement of these objectives.

As an active supporter in the European Green Deal, CHARM-EU is organizing, the sessions called “How can European universities contribute to supporting the European Green Deal?”. These sessions are a unique change to reflect on the potential of European universities to change the present and future of our society, and to strengthen the commitment of the CHARM-EU alliance with the European Green Deal action plan.

CHARM stands for the pillars on which this European university was built: challenge driven, accessible, research based and mobile.

The sessions are online and free of charge. Anyone can register through this form. All sessions will be broadcasted online, and recordings will be available in www.charm-eu.eu.
