The candidates to the Rector's Office election will have room for electoral acts on the social networks offered by the UB. Each of them will be able to explain their program in a live and open session on the YouTube account of the University of Barcelona, through the Streamyard platform, and in a live session on Instagram, also from the institutional account of the UB. The University, which has traditionally given room to the faculties for campaign events, has decided to promote these actions on social networks this time, given the health situation derived from COVID-19 and the set measures regarding the maximum number of authorized people in meetings.

The Streamyard platform allows the creation of a virtual place that can be accessed by the different candidates and that will allow the public to ask questions to each candidate. Sessions with Streamyard will remain open on the UB YouTube channel so that they can be watched later.

Instagram live sessions will be structured in five questions from proposals made by the Student Council. During the week before the sessions, there will be an Instagram campaign, and users from the university community will be asked to ask questions for the candidates. Once the sessions are done, they can also be watched on the UB's IGTV channel.
