The rector, Joan Guàrdia, signed today, February 9, a new resolution regarding the teaching lessons for the second semester, adapted to the resolution published in the DOGC, on February 6, which states that face-to-face lessons can be resumed restrictedly to first-year bachelor students, with extreme protection measures according to the guidelines of the PROCIAT action plan.

The rectorʼs resolution authorizes the resumption of face-to-face academic activities for first-year students of bachelorʼs degrees at the University of Barcelona, under the same conditions of the first semester in the academic year 2020/2021. It also mentions that the date of resumption for face-to-face activities will be decided by each centre, having listened to the study councils. Regarding the other academic activities, the regulations from the rectorʼs resolution on February 3 are maintained.

Stated measures in the resolution will be reviewed depending on the evolution of the health situation and the ordered measures by the Catalan Government.

This resolution joins the video statement the vice-rector for Teaching Policy, Conxita Amat, addressed to the students.
