M. Teresa Lluch, first university professor of psychosocial care and mental health in Spain
Last Friday, April 23, M. Teresa Lluch Canut, lecturer at the Department of Public Health, Mental Health and Perinatal Nursing in the Nursing School, received the position of University Professor with the project Plan de investigación en cuidados psicosociales de enfermería centrados en el constructo Salud Mental Positiva. With this recognition, she becomes the first university professor in Spain in the field of psychosocial care.

With this recognition, she becomes the first university professor in Spain in the field of psychosocial care.
M. Teresa Lluch graduated in Nursing, in Philosophy and in Education Sciences (Psychology section) and holds a doctorate on Psychology, in the speciality of Mental Health Nursing. She started her teaching activity in the UB Nursing School in 1986, combining teaching with assistance nursing and became university school professor in 2003. Her main research line focuses on positive mental health-based nursing care.
Lluch is now member of the consolidated innovation teaching group GIOTEI-UB, and the research group on Measurement Invariance and Analysis of Change in Social and Health Sciences (GEIMAC) and is the director of the Research Network on Nursing in Mental Health and Addictions (ISMENTAL). She has supervised 36 doctoral theses.
