UNI-ECO, an Erasmus+ interuniversity project, which counts on the participation of all the centers members of CHARM-EU, launches a virtual training on sustainability aimed at the university community. The training is formed by five free modules, willing to offer knowledge to develop practical and collaborative tools for the innovation on sustainability at the university. No previous knowledge is required to take part in the modules.

The UNI-ECO project responds to the need for a change in our lifestyle and production methods to reduce the negative impact of human activities on the environment. “Consumption and Waste” and “Carbon Footprint” are the names of the two first modules, which are available in the UNI-ECO website. They are aimed at the students and staff of the university who are interested in living in a more sustainable way and gaining more knowledge and raising awareness on sustainability.

The modules are focused on practical study cases, advice and ways to change the behaviour. Every e-learning module, which lasts 90 minutes, has videos, links, tests and interactive presentations created by UNI-ECO experts on sustainability. The students will receive an electronic certificate once they complete the module.

UNI-ECO: for a more sustainable university

UNI-ECO is a strategic association cofounded by the European Commission Erasmus+ programme. The project, which started in 2019, is dedicated to increase sustainable habits, practices and projects in the five universities that build up the CHARM-EU alliance: the University of Montpelier, which coordinates the initiative in collaboration with the University of Barcelona, Utrecht University, Eötvös Loránd University of Budapest and Trinity College Dublin.

The project takes inspiration from the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) and the European Green Deal, and it counts on the support from two partners: CESIE and the Mediterranean Universities Union (UNIMED).
