The award ceremony for the fotoNAT-UB prizes took place on Thursday, December 2, with the participation of the vice-rector for Research, Jordi Garcia Fernàndez; the dean of the Faculty of Biology, Rosina Gironès, and the director of CRBA and secretary of the jury, Antoni Serra, member of the Department of Evolutionary Biology, Ecology and Environmental Sciences and the Biodiversity Research Institute (IRBio) of the UB.

The awarded pieces of the 15th edition of fotoNAT-UB have been selected out of a total of 218 photographic works (79 in the wildlife category and 139 in the zoology one), submitted by 116 participants. During the selection process, forty photographs were chosen as finalists (20 in the zoology category and 20 in the wildlife one). Among this year’s participants were 69 students, 6 Alumni UB members, 23 former students of CRBA courses, 10 AdSS members and 8 TRS members.
