ICREA Academia 2021 program awards six members of the UB
The ICREA Academia 2021 program has awarded six researchers of the UB community in a call which selected thirty experts from different knowledge fields within the Catalan university system.
These grants, which reach their thirteenth edition, are an initiative that contributes to retain the research talent in Catalonia. Given by the Catalan Institution for Research and Advanced Studies (ICREA), these honor the research experience of the teaching staff who develop their activity in any of the Catalan public universities.
The ICREA Academia 2021 program has awarded six researchers of the UB community in a call which selected thirty experts from different knowledge fields within the Catalan university system.
These grants, which reach their thirteenth edition, are an initiative that contributes to retain the research talent in Catalonia. Given by the Catalan Institution for Research and Advanced Studies (ICREA), these honor the research experience of the teaching staff who develop their activity in any of the Catalan public universities.
The thirty selected people in this call will receive 40,000 euros per year, for a period of five years. This support line is exclusively aimed at the university teaching staff who is teaching and whose research activity is under an active and expansive phase. Since its creation, the ICREA Academic program has given grants to more than 300 researchers of the Catalan university system.

Núria Bonada Caparrós
Tenure-track 2 lecturer at the Department of Evolutionary Biology, Ecology and Environmental Sciences of the Faculty of Biology and member of the Biodiversity Research Institute (IRBio).
Marta Cascante Serratosa
Full university professor at the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Bioscience and member of the Institute of Biomedicine of the UB (IBUB).
Bru Cormand Rifà
Full university professor and director of the Department of Genetics, Microbiology and Statistics of the Faculty of Biology. Member of IBUB.
Aina Gallego Dobon
Tenure-track 2 lecturer at the Department of Political Science, Constitutional Law and Philosophy of Law of the Faculty of Philosophy.
Susana Narotzky Molleda
Professor at the Department of Social Anthropology of the Faculty of Geography and History.
Eliseo Ruiz Sabín
Professor at the Department of Inorganic and Organic Chemistry of the Faculty of Chemistry. Member of the Theoretical and Computational Chemistry Institute (IQTC).
