All-time highs in company incorporation and use of spaces in the Barcelona Science Park

In just over a year, from January 2021 to February 2022, twenty-five new companies have joined the Barcelona Science Park (PCB), so the spaces for the business activity are fully occupied (98%). This situation consolidates the PCB as one of the most important hubs in Europe regarding life and health sciences.

 

The profiles of the companies joining the Park are start-ups and spin-offs from universities, research centres and public hospitals of excellence, with an average of five employees each, a strong element of innovation and great growing expectations. There are also consolidated companies and entities from around the world that land in Europe and support the Park.
