Welcome to researchers and students from Ukraine
A personal and moving event welcomed the thirty researchers and students from Ukraine who have joined the UB as part of the support program to the university community of this country promoted by the University. “The UB is open to all of you”, stated the rector of the UB, Joan Guàrdia. The rector reaffirmed the UB commitment to peace and the international academic community and concluded that “the university community can face the hardest situations”.
The vice-rector for Internationalization Policy, Raúl Ramos, highlighted the role of the UB staff in the adaptation of the people who join the support program, as well as the UB Solidarity Foundationʼs work. Some members of the Ukrainian community thanked the initiatives by the UB for helping the academic community of their country and noted that their presence at the university can be a beneficial cooperation.
