The Boardroom of the Rectorʼs Office held, on Tuesday, May 31, the ceremony for the 7th UB DANONE Chair Awards, an initiative launched in 2015 to support the training activities and promotion on food and Health among young students. The ceremony, presided over by the rector Joan Guàrdia, included the participation of the director of the UB DANONE Chair M. Carmen Vidal, professor of the Faculty of Pharmacy and Food Sciences and director of the UB Torribera Food and Nutrition Campus, and the director for Public Affairs at DANONE Iberia, Laia Mas.

The Boardroom of the Rectorʼs Office held, on Tuesday, May 31, the ceremony for the 7th UB DANONE Chair Awards, an initiative launched in 2015 to support the training activities and promotion on food and Health among young students. The ceremony, presided over by the rector Joan Guàrdia, included the participation of the director of the UB DANONE Chair M. Carmen Vidal, professor of the Faculty of Pharmacy and Food Sciences and director of the UB Torribera Food and Nutrition Campus, and the director for Public Affairs at DANONE Iberia, Laia Mas.

As part of the call, the jury affirmed the high quality of all the finalist projects and gave the first UB DANONE Chair Award to the top bachelorʼs degree final project in Human Nutrition and Dietetics to the student Purificación Alcalá, author of the project Afecten els estereotips de gènere a lʼadopció de dietes vegetarianes?, carried out under the supervision of the lecturer Andreu Farran Codina.

Estudi sobre lʼemprempta mediambiental de la dieta mediterrània, presented by Cristina Trull and supervised by the lecturer Montserrat Folch, received the UB DANONE Chair Award to the top bachelorʼs degree final project in Food Science and Technology.

The award to the top bachelorʼs degree final project in Culinary and Gastronomic Sciences was given to Marina Maragda Ferrer, author of Adaptació de les cuines hospitalàries a la pandèmia COVID-19, supervised by lecturer Montserrat Saperas.

The ceremony finished with a speech by the rector, Joan Guàrdia.
