The University of Experience has increased its academic offering for the academic year 2022-2023, adding a training program and creating seminars of scientific, humanistic and social fields. It is open to anyone aged over fifty-five and it offers a unique opportunity to interact with other people with the same interests and share knowledge and experiences. The main objective is to encourage the participation of this age group in the university context and show that training cannot be considered finished as long as there is a spark of intellectual interest.

In order to share the offering to the citizens, the University of Experience has started a communication campaign, carried out by the students of this project, and it has launched a new website: experiencia.ub.edu. The only requirement to enter the University of Experience is to be over fifty-five. The number of places is limited and therefore the training programs require a pre-enrolment. That is, people who want to access for the first time must pre-enrol, between June 27 and July 3. The enrolment for the second year and extensions will be available after June 13, while the enrolment for the seminars and complementary activities will be available on July 5.

The training programs last one, two or three years, and feature four subjects per year, which take place at the faculties of the University of Barcelona. The training offering covers a wide range of fields, from food and gastronomy to history of art and psychology.

The seminars allow to delve into several aspects related to the university programs. Those from scientific fields study issues such as genetics, food of the future and interpretation of food labels. The humanistic ones treat questions that range from history of music to arts, literature and classic cinema. The ones from social fields deal with both forensic psychology and boardgames or initiation to information technology.

Finally, the offer of the University of Experience includes workshops and complementary activities that contribute to maintain a healthy and energetic life, both physically and intellectually: music and theatre courses, a reading club, a creative writing workshop, yoga and chi kung.
