The seventeenth edition of Els Vespres, the cycle of concerts of the University of Barcelona, is hosting emerging musical proposals of local talent this July at the Agustí Pedro i Pons building.

Els Vespres offers a poster of local, relevant and charismatic artists: the inspiring folk rock brought by Marta Knight on July 5; the intimate and atmospheric singer-songwriter pop of Venʼnus on July 7; the Caribbean rhythms of Palmerita Coco Blue on July12, and the sonorous forcefulness of Pinpilinpussies on July14.

The concerts will take place outdoors and can be watched standing or seated. The tickets, which must be booked in advance, include a drink and cost 5 euros. Reservations are now available on ub.edu/vespres.

Once the performances are over, and until the doors close, the public will be able to enjoy the Els Vespres terrace and a DJ session by one of the members of Sin Sync DJs, a collective that explores the figure and presentation of the DJ and investigates new identities from a feminist and non-hegemonic perspective.

The concerts have a bar service and offer Caravan Made's gourmet hamburgers, made with quality local products. The artistic direction and production of Els Vespres is the responsibility of the cooperative L'Afluent and the concerts are sponsored by Moritz.

The Agustí Pedro i Pons building, located at the foot of Collserola and with exceptional views of Barcelona, offers a unique setting for holding concerts. It can be easily reached by public transport and is just five minutes from the FGC Peu del Funicular station.

Els Vespres, one of the most important musical events in summer in Barcelona, is a showcase for the most singular new projects on the current scene, with the aim of promoting culture and emerging music in collaboration with the city's labels and agents.
