Bardo, falsa crónica de unas cuantas verdades won the prize the Union of Mediterranean Universities (UNIMED) awards each year at the Venice International Film Festival, organized as part of the Venice Biennale. Two students of the University of Barcelona formed part of the jury that chose the film, a jury made up of seventeen students selected from the 149 universities that make up UNIMED. Albert Muns and Guillem Villalonga, students of the Faculty of Information and Audiovisual Media of the UB, want to work professionally in the world of cinema, and participating in this jury meant getting to know first-hand such an important festival. Both say that it has been a "shocking" and "as crazy as it is satisfying" experience.

Albert values positively the chance he has had to "evaluate some of the most brilliant audiovisual works of the year" as a member of the UNIMED jury. "I've been able to see all this cinema and be part of it", says the student. In his case, he is studying a master's degree in Film Directing at the Escola Superior de Cinema i Audiovisuals de Catalunya (ESCAC), a centre affiliated to the UB, while Guillem is studying the interuniversity master's degree in Audiovisual Scriptwriting at the UB, the UdLl and the association Guionistes Associats de Catalunya (GAC). Guillermo sums up his experience in Venice as "a lot of nerves, questions, chaos. But also meeting interesting people, visiting a different space, films, celebrities. A different world".

The UNIMED award honours the film that best carries the values of diversity, culture, promotes freedom of artistic expression and encourages cultural exchange. UNIMED is made up of universities from 24 countries in the Mediterranean area, including the UB. Its aim is to contribute to scientific, cultural, social and economic cooperation.
