“Taking Stock of European memory policies” is the title of the conference organised by the European Observatory on Memories (EUROM) of the UB Solidarity Foundation and the Spanish State Secretariat for Democratic Memory (SEMD), in collaboration with the Jean Monnet House, the House of European History and the Barcelona City Council's Department of Democratic Memory.

This is the fifth annual meeting of the EUROM network, co-funded by the European Union's Citizens, Equality, Rights and Values programme. It will take place from 22 to 24 November at the University of Barcelona and La Model Espai Memorial. In addition to assessing the present and future of memory policies in Europe, as well as strategies to promote them, this year's meeting will deal with national and international experiences on victim databases and will be an opportunity to analyse the main aspects of the new Spanish Law on Democratic Memory.

Attendance is free of charge, but previous registration is required.
