The Santander X Award honors a revolutionary X-ray system from a start-up born in StartUB!
The VRi start-up, launched by Daniel Esteban, Jordi-Ysard Puigbò, Joan Ramon Blaya and Joan Fité and born in StartUB!, obtained, last week, the Santander X Award, in the Accelerate category. The award from Santander Universidades aims to promote the talent of the universities and honour the top projects and start-ups as a symbol for competitiveness and employability.
VRi offers an intuitive software that enables doctors who work with multidimensional biomedical imaging to manipulate the data and work real-time in a transparent way. They only need to use virtual reality glasses, with which they can see up to a hundred times more information than without them. Moreover, the system offers artificial intelligence assistance that accelerates the routine processes more than a thousand times faster.
The awardees of the Santander X Award categories, who were awarded a total of 30,000 euros in prizes, will have the chance to compete with the top entrepreneurs from around the world in the Santander X Global Award 2022, representing Spain.
