{"id":172,"date":"2024-01-19T15:51:53","date_gmt":"2024-01-19T13:51:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ub.edu\/wellcare\/?p=172"},"modified":"2024-06-17T13:18:44","modified_gmt":"2024-06-17T11:18:44","slug":"project-event-on-care-policy","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ub.edu\/wellcare\/2024\/01\/19\/project-event-on-care-policy\/","title":{"rendered":"Project Event on Care Policy"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On January 10, WELLCARE researchers held an event open to stakeholders in the framework of the&nbsp;<em>9<sup>th<\/sup>&nbsp;World Congress of the International Microsimulation Association<\/em><strong>&nbsp;<\/strong>(<a href=\"https:\/\/ima-2024.wifo.ac.at\/index.html\">IMA Conference<\/a>). The event was dedicated to <strong>early childhood<\/strong> and <strong>long-term care policies<\/strong> and preliminar results of the public consultation were presented. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Presentations<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The event had four presentations. First, Ci\u00f3 Patxot (UB), the project coordinator, briefly presented the results received to the public consultation launched in 2023 which was followed by an analysis of comparable data sets from the European Union carried out to characterize the main factors driving the <strong>Care Economy<\/strong> in selected countries. Ulrike Famira-M\u00fchlberger (WIFO) examined the different care systems of Austria, Spain and England and the extent to which institutions and policies influence the size and composition of caregiving groups in society, particularly concerning the mix between formal and informal care.
