Adriano Correia (Universidade Federal de Goiàs) will give a lecture entitled "Who is Hannah Arendt's animal laborans?". Correia is a philosophy professor whose research is concentrated in the areas of political philosophy, ethics, the history of philosophy and the philosophy of law, with special attention paid to the works of Hannah Arendt, Michel Foucault, Immanuel Kant, Giorgio Agamben and Friedrich Nietzsche. He is the author of a number of books and articles. Of special relevance are Transpondo o abismo: Hannah Arendt entre a filosofia e a política (Forense Universitária, 2002), Hannah Arendt e a condição humana (Quarteto, 2006), Hannah Arendt: entre o passado e o futuro (UFJF, 2009), and Hannah Arendt (Jorge Zahar, 2012). The lecture is held as part of the IV Arendtian Springs International Lecture Cycle (Primaveres arendtianes), organized by the Seminari Filosofia i Gènere of the Consolidated Research Group (GRC) Creació i Pensament de les Dones.
