Dones, literatura i pensament 2013. D'unes veus no previstes: Christine de Pisan i Moderata Fonte

This first course, "Dones, literatura i pensament 2013. D'unes veus no previstes: Christine de Pisan i Moderata Fonte" is a result of the collaboration between the Seminari Filosofia i Gènere (of the Consolidated Research Group [GRC] Creació i Pensament de les Dones), the Antonio Martín Library and City Hall of El Prat de Llobregat. The objective is to contribute to the recovery of the memory and the lineage of women in literary creation and thought throughout history. Both sessions of the course are dedicated to authors of the Renaissance, in particular to Christine de Pisan and Moderata Fonte, unexpected voices worth remembering because, through the gesture of speaking the self, they created original spaces of independence and liberty where they situated themselves and put into play their capabilities. Through writing they desired, loved and judged, they redefined the cultural system to which they belonged, and they demonstrated it. Despite the difficulties, they excercised thought and creation freely and critically, and they came to form part of a fertile tradition, so that even today their texts sound contemporary and modern.
