The catalogue La déconniatrie. Art, exil et psychiatrie autour de François Tosquelles (Abattoirs-Arcàdia, 2021), under the direction of Carles Guerra and Joana Masó (ADHUC-Universitat de Barcelona), has been published. This catalogue is the publication of the exhibition of the same title that will be on view at the Musée les Abattoirs – Frac Occitanie in Toulouse from October 14, 2021 to March 3, 2022. Through 14 essays by international researchers, it explores issues linking psychiatry, politics and surrealism, exile and cultural productions such as cinema and marginal art, in dialogue with thinkers, theorists, artists and writers such as Antonin Artaud, Jean Dubuffet, Paul Éluard, Frantz Fanon or, among others, Tristan Tzara. The research that has made this exhibition possible has been funded by the Fundació MIR-PUIG, has received recognition as an exhibition of national interest by the French Ministry of Culture, and has received exceptional support from the French state, the Fondation Antoine de Galbert, as well as from the Institut Ramon Llull and AC/E Acción Cultural Española.
