Sexual dissidence and autobiography by Jorge Luis Peralta

Publications

Jorge Luis Peralta (ADHUC-Research Center for Theory, Gender, Sexuality) has published or edited various works on sexual dissidence and autobiography. The book La ciudad amoral. Espacio urbano y disidencia sexual en Renato Pellegrini y Carlos Correas (Eduvim, 2021), offers a tour of the work of these two authors who, by giving an account of these spaces in novels and short stories, helped to create from the 1950s a real focus of homoerotic dissent and offer a mapping of meeting points and socialization in the urban space of Buenos Aires. On the other hand, Peralta, with José Antonio Ramos Arteaga, has co-edited the monograph “(Des)generando la primera persona (queer). Autobiografías y memorias de la diversidad sexual en las culturas hispánicas”, in n. 21 of the magazine Clepsydra, with the aim of reconstructing an “other” memory by de/generating the first person, because they configure it outside or against the established norms. Finally, Peralta with Łukasz Smuga, are the co-editors of the monograph "Memorias disidentes en las literaturas y culturas hispánicas" in vol. 29 of Estudios Hispánicos of Poland.
