NEW USERS

1.- Read rule set section carefully. While signing up, you are implicitly accepting these conditions.

2.- New users must be registered into our data base (filling this form). Only users are allowed to access the Clean Room. Visitors are not users, but need our aproval. Check the rule set for more information.

3.- New users will receive a short introduction to the clean room. This mandatory step introduces the users to the laboratory protocols, and booking system.

4.- Depending on the facilities, users may need an specific trainings. Each equipment belongs to a group and has a specific responsible. Please check the equipment section for more information.

5.-The resource management relies on a user database, an on-line booking system, and a log book at the entrance of the clean room. Follow strictly all the rules about these items.

BOOKING SYSTEM

1.- The laboratory opens between 09:00 and 18:00.

2.- Reservations are not mandatory, but users cannot use any already reserved facility. Reservations expire after 15min from their star time. If within this period the user does not attend the reservation, other users can access the equipment.

  • In order to prevente abuses, the reservation system has some internal limits: a) minimum reservation time, one session (1hr or 2hr, depending on the equipment) b) maximum anticipation of the reserves, one week and c) minimum anticipation of the reserves, 24hr.
  • It is possible to make reservations inside the clean room using the computer by the exit.

3.- Reservations are accounted as sessions. In most cases a session lasts 2hr. In the cases of spinner and mask aligner, sessions last 1hr.

4.- The maximum reservation time depends on the facility. For systems under lower demands this time will be 9hr(an entire day), while for the most demanded equipment, a reservation cannot exceed 4hr.

5.- When no further reservations exist, any user may extend the usage time, always within the room opening hours and with no interfering with other users. It is competence of the clean room staff to determine whether this practice is or not abusive (for instance, extending a short reservation along the entire day)

6.- Every session must be registered in the log book at the Entrance.

BRINGING STUDENTS INTO THE CLEAN ROOM

1.- Student groups must always be registered and accompained by a responsible teacher, who must be a registered clean room user. The responsible of the group must ensure that the students behave according to the user rule set.

2.- According with its definition, a student group may have up to 6 members. Define your groups accordingly and ask us for special cases.

3.- As teaching sessions need to fit a timetable, in this case the equipment must be booked in advance. As a registered user, the teacher should be allowed.

4.-For student groups, fill the log book in the following manner:

BRING FACCILITIES INTO THE CLEAN ROOM

1.- Only group responsibles may bring equipment into the laboratory.

2.- The clean room staff assume that will take part in the setting up of whatever facility. Non critical steps won't be supervised, but key decissions must be aproved.
