How to go from the airport to the  Hotel Taber

You can take a cab. Barcelona cabs are black and yellow (very easy to spot). They are parked just outside each of the airport terminals. The trip will cost you some 30-35 Euro plus a minor charge per bag. Cab drivers do not expect tips but, if you wish, a small tip  [1 to 1.5 Euro] is appropriate. For Americans: in general, tips should be about half, or less, than in the US. Give the cab driver the following address: Carrer Aragó , 256.

By train. There are signs at the airport indicating the way to the airport train station (the company that runs the train is Renfe). All trains that stop at the airport have a stop at Barcelona-Passeig de Gràcia (this is the stop after Barcelona-Sants) . Once in Passeig de Gràcia, take Carrer Aragó; the hotel is number 256, near the train station.
If you take the train or the metro, you may want to consider getting a 10 trip card. See the section ‘Travel within Barcelona’

By special bus. The "Aerobus" runs between the Barcelona Airport and Catalunya Square ("Plaça Catalunya"). It stops in front of each of the airport terminals. It costs  5.30 Euro. The trip takes 30-40 min. There is a bus every 6-15 minutes, depending on the time of the day. You purchase the ticket on the bus. It has four stops: Plaça Catalunya is the last one.

From Plaça Catalunya you can reach the Hotel either

(i) walking: a 10-15 minute nice walk up Rambla de Catalunya and then Carrer Aragó to number 256;
(ii) by metro: take the green line in Plaça Catalunya, towards Trinitat Nova. It is just one stop: you should get off at Passeig de Gràcia. Then it is a five minute walk;
(iii) by taxi: it might cost some 4 euros.

How to go from the Hotel Taber to the conference venue

As you leave the Hotel (yellow dot), turn right and take Carrer Aragó. Then turn right again to Rambla de Catalunya. Keep walking forward. When you arrive to Plaça Catalunya, go straight on and take Les Rambles, just in front of you. Take the first street to the right: Carrer Tallers .Finally take the third street (the first one is a very narrow street, called 'Les Sitges') to the left and, again, the first street to the left.

The entrance to the University will be on your left (marked on the map with a green dot). Enter the glass-doors on your right. Once in the building, go down to your left and take the elevators to the 4th floor. Once on the 4th floor, enter the big a rectangular hall. The “Sala Gran” is diagonally opposed to the entrance.

Travel within Barcelona
