Péter Giczey 
Chairman of the LIFETREE Help Service Association (ÉLETFA Segítő Szolgálat Egyesület), based in Hungary

Peter Giczey graduated as a history teacher and cultural educator (BA) in 1987, and as a sociologist (MA) in 1991. He has nearly 30 years experience in community interactions (community development, community planning, community organizing). Now he works as the professional leader and community organizer consultant and trainer at Civil College Foundation.He teaches community work as a visiting lecturer at the Department of Sociology and Social Policy, and Faculty of Health of the University of Debrecen. He is the president of the Életfa (Tree of Life) Help Service Association which supports the Hungarian settlement movement. Between 1994 and 2005 he managed as the CEO of the Csapókert Community House which works as a settlement house. Since 2006 he is a board member of the International Federation of Settlements and Neighbourhood Houses (IFS).​ ​
