Pre-congress Seminar:
Emotional intelligence and personality

The II SEIDI National Congress organizes for the first time a Seminar that will be held on 23 April 2003, day before the Congress. This pre-congress Seminar will take place at the same grounds of the Congress, Casa de la Convalecencia at Sant Pau Hospital in Barcelona. It will start on 23^rd  at 16 h. And end on 26^th April. It will consist of 4 sessions held on the 23^rd and 5 more that will be carried out during days of the Congress.

Program of the pre-congress Seminar includes four lectures given by specialist SEIDI members and are specifically designed to inform assistants of novelties at the psychology of personality and psychology of intelligence fields, and specially their interactions. Assistants to the Seminar will also be able to attend five of the Congress plenary conferences.

This pre-congress Seminar is specially addressed to university students, psychologists and other professionals that are interested in finding out the latest novelties in the psychology of intelligence and personality fields with special emphasis in emotional intelligence

This activity is recognized as free choice credits by several Universities (UB, UAB, UDL, UDG, URLL, etc.....).

Seminar Programme:

The present Seminar on Emotional Intelligence involves assistance to 10 sessions. Students should hand in a final report which, together with assistance, Will enable them to obtain a Certificate issued by the Spanish Research Society of Individual Differences (SEIDI).

Sessions are distributed in a 5 hour seminar that will take place on the 23^rd April 2003 (16:00-21:00) and assistance to five conferences that are part of the II National Congress of Psychology organized by SEIDI, from 24^th to 26^th April 2003. Said conferences will be given in English by international experts, however summaries in Spanish will be handed out, and in some cases slides will be used in this language.
