CREB-binding protein (cbp) genes regulate stem cell maintenance and differentiation

Our recent paper describes how planarian CREB-binding protein (cbp) gene family has been expanded in planarians and diversified their functions. Thus, cbp-2 seems to be required for planarian survival and stem cell maintenance whereas cbp-3 appears to regulate the differentiation of many cell lineages. You can read the whole story at:
