Mariño, professor of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Technology; Màrius Rubiralta, professor of Organic Chemistry, and David Vallespín, professor of Procedural Law.

It will be the fourth time that, according to the current regulations, the new rector will be elected by the university community through direct election and secret universal suffrage. According to the UBʼs statutes, the values of the different groups are the following: permanent professors (51 % of the total); other teaching and research staff (9 % of the total); students (30 %), and administrative and service staff (10 %).

If any of the candidates do not get an overall majority on November 28, a second round will be done on December 1, in which the two more voted candidates will participate, and then the candidate who gets more votes will be elected as rector.
