Next year, the Faculty of Economics and Business of the UB will offer the Erasmus Mundus master degree Global Markets, Local Creativities, together with the universities of Glasgow, Rotterdam and Gottingen. Erasmus Mundus master degrees, supported by the EU, are degrees distinguished for their excellence, innovation and internationalization and seek to strengthen the attractiveness of the European area of higher education as well as improving competencies and access to labor market for the graduates.
The new master degree in the Faculty of Economics and Business will focus on how clusters, cities and regions and local agents (such as entrepreneurs, companies and responsibles for public policies) can create competitiveness in the context of the global market. This degree lasts two years and all students will study their first term in Glasgow and the second term in Barcelona, while the third term can be done in Rotterdam or Gottingen. The fourth term will be focused on the master’s degree final project and each student can choose any of the four participating universities.
The degree is aimed at students who want to develop their career in organizations dedicated to public policies, and especially urban policies, multinational organizations, international consultancies, cultural and creative industries, media, and NGO. The content will be focused on the intersection and complementarity of the local and the global world, and will provide with opportunities to join internships.
Grant applications to register for this master degree have to be submitted before January 31.
