LERU commemorates its 15th anniversary
The League of European Research Universities (LERU) celebrates its 15th anniversary in 2017. To commemorate this occasion, LERU organized an event in Brussels on Tuesday, March 7. The event was devoted to ʻscience diplomacyʼ, an emerging term for an old but new issue: the interaction between science and diplomacy and the many challenges and opportunities emerging from it. The use of science cooperation to improve international relations, facilitating international science cooperation and informing foreign policy objectives with scientific advice has to play a decisive role in solving global and societal challenges and setting the future ahead.
