On November 22, the award ceremony for the Research Award Dr Saladié-Roig took place at the Faculty of Philology of the University of Barcelona. The award, launched by the Research Institute IRCVUM-Medieval Cultures, aims to promote all research projects on the history of Hospitalet de lʼInfant and is immediate surroundings.

On November 22, the award ceremony for the Research Award Dr Saladié-Roig took place at the Faculty of Philology of the University of Barcelona. The award, launched by the Research Institute IRCVUM-Medieval Cultures, aims to promote all research projects on the history of Hospitalet de lʼInfant and is immediate surroundings.

The awardee of this first call has been Stefano Maria Cingolani, with his work Lʼinfant Pere, comte de Ribagorça i de les muntanyes de Prades, i la comtessa Joana de Foix: rituals i política al voltant de la mort. The award consists of an economic aid and the publication of the awarded work in original version and in English, in the online journal of medieval studies SVMMA.

The ceremony was presided by Meritxell Simó, director of IRCVM and president of the jury, and had the participation of Antoni Conejo, deputy director of IRCVM and scientific coordinator of the award, and Josep Maria Saladié-Roig. A representative of the Counsellorship of Culture of the Town Council of Hospitalet de lʼInfant attended the event too.

To close the ceremony, the lecturer Antoni Conejo gave the conference under the title “Lʼinfant Pere dʼAragó i dʼAnjoy. ʻMolt gracious e savi senyorʼ”.
