CRESIB is a new centre for international health research formed by various first-rate academic and biomedical research institutes in Barcelona (the University of Barcelona, the Hospital Clínic de Barcelona, the August Pi i Sunyer Biomedical Research Institute [IDIBAPS]). Together with the Catalan government (Generalitat de Catalunya), these institutes aim to meet the new challenges that arise in international health in the twenty-first century.
