The Observatory of the Antoni de Capmany Study Centre for Economics and Economic History aims to foster, project and disseminate research and knowledge transfer in its area of specialization, which is the long-term economic development of societies. The Centre promotes collaboration among public and private entities, encourages scientific consultancy in its field, publishes scientific papers, and communicates and disseminates its activities. It is currently involved in seven research projects.

The Centre is formed by members of research groups from the Department of Economic History and Institutions.
