Services supporting entrepreneurs

1. Consultancy services for the creation of technology-based companies, offered by a team of highly-qualified specialists .

2. Consultancy and support services during the constitution of a technology-based company.

a) Before the company is constituted: protecting industrial property, applying for patents, defining a business model, valorizing the technology in question (creation of economic value) and gaining access to financial backing.

b) When the company is constituted: drafting a business plan, gaining access to further financial backing (government loans of different kinds and research and development grants) and establishing financial or business partners.

3. Access to Bioincubation platforms

Generally speaking, spin-offs are companies that are created within a university setting and are the result of the research findings carried out by that university's own researchers. The university acts as an incubator and serves to support the spin-off in the early stages of its development.  The University of Barcelona's spin-offs help to transfer knowledge and technology to the business sector, to find direct applications for the results of research in production processes and  even to commercialize research results.
