Founded by Dr. Agustí Pedro i Pons in 1971, this is a non-profit educational foundation aimed at conceding student grants for postgraduate studies to students who have graduated in medicine, pharmacy, mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology, geology, philology, philosophy, education, psychology, geography and history. It also awards a number of grants to higher musical studies, composition and singing for graduates in music by Barcelona City Council and the Liceu Higher Music Conservatory.
