The course is also open to students with no prior university education, who will acquire the same knowledge and skills and receive a specific qualification for their learner group. Information on the access requirements and other conditions can be obtained from the course directors.
The general objective is for students to acquire theoretical and practical knowledge about mindfulness and its applications in the field of health.
Specific objectives:
- To gain theoretical and practical training on the bases of mindfulness, with a focus on promoting people's health and well-being.
- Develop tools for self-knowledge, self-care, conscious communication, which contribute to better personal relationships, develop resilience and prevent compassion fatigue and burnout in the workplace.
- To develop tools that contribute to providing humanized health care
- To know the scientific basis of the effects of mindfulness at the cellular and molecular level, human physiology and neuroscience.
To learn about the applications of mindfulness in the promotion of health and healthy lifestyle habits.
- To know the applications of mindfulness in different diseases (such as chronic pain, oncology or other chronic diseases).
- To know the applications of mindfulness in mental health and addictions.
- Learn how to design and teach mindfulness programs in health.
- Learn how to develop a research project on mindfulness in health.
- Train in the skills of the mindfulness instructor for health based on personal practice and MBI-TC criteria.
