t the XXVIII EFMC International Symposium on Medicinal Chemistry organised by the Medicinal Chemistry Division of the Società Chimica Italiana (Italian Chemical Society), on behalf of the European Federation for Medicinal chemistry and Chemical biology (EFMC). The symposium took place in Rome, Italy from September 1-5, 2024. 

Katerina has the great opportunity to present the work performed on Tuberculosis disease under the supervision of Carol and Javi, well-done Kat! 

It was a week plenty of opportunities to exchange ideas with colleagues and be updated!!

On 12th July, Mariam and Aitor (from CBCG group) has the opportunity to present her Master thesis through a poster at the X SEQT Young Research Symposium that took place at Colegio Mayor Universitario San Pablo in Madrid.

On April 2nd, our group members, Marc Escolà and Ana Palomares, undergraduated students of Pharmacy and Food Science and Technology, respectively, showcased their project conducted during their Undergraduate’s thesis through poster presentations at the IV edition of the National CyTA Junior Congress convened at the Torribera Food Campus, as an integral part of the XII CyTA CESIA Congress co-organized by the University of Barcelona (UB) and the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB).

We warmly welcome three Master’s students who have joined our group to pursue their Master’s thesis. Mariam and Adrinê are enrolled in the Erasmus Mundus MSc in Chemical Innovation and Regulation, while Deepti is part of the Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degree (EMJMD) in Theoretical Chemistry and Computational Modelling (TCCM). 

During this time, Mariam is dealing with aggregation of β-amyloid of Alzheimer disease, Adrinê is studying the full AMPK model, and Deepti is conducting QM/MM calculations to study the reactivity of CutC enzyme.
