I did my BSc in Psychology at the University of Parma with a thesis on Multisensory Integration in people with OCD, then I moved to Rome where I took a MSc in Cognitive Neuroscience with a thesis on the behavioral investigation of heuristic behaviour in a two-level decision-making task in macaque monkeys. During my MSc I met Prof. Giandomenico Iannetti with whom I started a project on the dynamics of the vertex evoked potential, the largest EEG response measurable in awake healthy humans. During the summer between my first and second year of MSc, I worked in Belgium, at KU Leuven, as a Research Assistant at Prof. Peter Jannsen’s Lab where I explored the effective connectivity of the Mirror Neuron System in macaque monkeys using fMRI. After graduating, I worked for a year at Giandomenico Iannetti’s Lab as a Research Assistant studying electrospinography using EEG.
I am currently a PhD student at BrainLab under the supervision of Prof. Jordi Costa Faidella, where I aim to investigate whether the brain’s singing network exploits coherent oscillations at voice pitch frequencies to control phonation
