My research focuses on the relationship between rhythm, speech processing, and language acquisition. During my PhD, I conducted research with infants, children with and without language development disorders, and adults learning a second language (L2), with the goal of identifying the temporal mechanisms underlying language processing and their potential educational and clinical applications. More specifically, I have studied how auditory rhythmic patterns influence the perception and production of speech—whether typical or atypical—particularly during early development and second language (L2) acquisition, by combining various methods (behavioral and EEG) and analyses (acoustic analysis of speech and EEG signal processing). Now, as a postdoctoral researcher, I am focusing more on the neurological markers underlying the link between rhythm and speech processing, as well as on the transfer from music to language throughout the lifespan.
