I first graduated with a degree in neurobiology from Aix-Marseille University in 2022. I continued my studies with a Master’s in Integrated, Cognitive and Behavioral Neurosciences at the same university, graduating in July 2024. Seeking to combine cognitive neuroscience and technology, I went on to complete a second master’s degree in computer science, graduating in September 2025.
From the beginning of my academic career, I have wanted to study the processing of complex sounds. I therefore spent six months working on my first MSc thesis, which was supervised by Dr Simone Falk at the University of Montreal’s International Laboratory for Brain, Music and Sound Research (BRAMS). This project examined conversational rhythms and the relationship between speech perception and production using EEG.
To combine sound processing, neuroscience and computer science, I also spent six months working under the supervision of Léonard Samain-Aupic and Mitsuko Aramaki in an interdisciplinary laboratory (Perception, Representations, Images, Sounds and Music, PRISM) at Aix-Marseille University. The aim of this project was to develop a method and a set of tools that would permit real-time cognitive state assessment.
I am currently a PhD student in biomedicine at Brainlab, under the supervision of Dr Carles Escera. My research focuses on the impact of early passive music exposure on brain sound encoding and language acquisition using EEG.
