Chair of Neuroeducation UB-EDU1st

Neuroeducation is a new academic discipline that focuses on how the brain is formed and how it works and learns, with the central objective being to optimize learning procedures to enhance them for the benefit of personal growth and social dignity.

Neuroeducation, as a new academic discipline that arises from the integration of knowledge in neuroscience applied to learning, is a very important boost for educational innovation with scientific foundations to which the traditional foundations of modern pedagogy are added.

Objectives

The general objective of this Chair is to contribute to the transfer of knowledge and to the training of professionals in any field of education (teachers at all educational levels, educators, psycho-pedagogues, psychologists, sociologists, etc.), and also to the dissemination of knowledge to society, without forgetting research in the field of neuroeducation.

All in all, the activities that are promoted, therefore, are aimed at promoting pedagogical and educational changes, and therefore social changes, that will improve and optimize flexible, adaptable and inclusive training for people, with special emphasis on children, adolescents and young people.

She has been delegate of the Rector and Vice-dean of doctorate at the Faculty of Pedagogy

Professor and researcher of the Section of Biomedical, Evolutionary and Development Genetics of the UB. Member of the consolidated research group Evolution and Development. Head of the Biology Subject of the University Entrance Exams and advisor to various groups of the Department of Education and the UNESCO International Bureau of Education. He has published more than 60 scientific articles, some twenty textbooks and teaching proposals, and 20 books of dissemination and essay, several of which are on the field of Neuroeducation.

learning and the support of neuroscience in education. He also serves as editor in scientific
research and dissemination magazines.
