Presentation of the Global Longevity Atlas

One of the main focuses of the Longevity World Summit 2020, an online event organized by the UB and the Longevity Institute, was the evolution of longevity across the world in the last decades and the likely scenario in the near future.

One of the most notable talks during the summit was given by Dr Xavier Varea, who presented the conclusions of the World Longevity Atlas project, carried out at the UB. The Atlas analyses human mortality across the world and looks at life expectancy in 82 countries from gender and geoeconomic perspectives. It focuses specifically on the evolution of 18 indicators in six categories and makes predictions for longevity at 2030 in the chosen countries.
